Hi, everyone. I just sent my answer to the required 4th question posed by Mr. Richard Rupp to the MTMs of Region 2, and then, Kaboom! I got this email from WATcast (We Are Teachers) and what an inspiration it was (at least for me!) . I am just hoping that some of you out there who are just "lost" like me about the upcoming STAAR test will get an insight from this podcast. The invited respectable and notable speakers talked about the key changes, the teachers' areas of concern, how to prepare the students, and some recommendations of resources we, teachers, can use for this new assessment. This website (very much similar to Thinkfinity.org) is sponsored by Curriculum Associates and teachers can join also in their Community discussions, etc.. May I ask how are you preparing your kids for the STAAR test? What are your resources? Nothing to do with business, but I just ordered STAAR test in Math from KAMIKO, Inc. . I used this company during the TAKS tests in the past and it was a success for our school. The new kAMIKO problems are based on the released test samples from TEA website. I am hoping that when I get them, (hope soon!), they will really be of help again to our students. I want them to face this new assessment with confidence and trust that they will succeed.
