Thanks for joining us on the Let's Do History tour! Now that you've completed the program, we'd love to hear what resource(s) you've already used in your classroom. How effective was it? How did your students respond? Did you modify it, and if so, how? Or, are there any you plan to use in the future?
I meant to post this back in February. The day I went back to school after my training I used the cotton as a teaching object. Two weeks later I used "Who Am I? A History Mystery" My co-teacher even used this resource when I was not in the classroom - she does not feel very comfortable using technology resources when I am not in the room(http://americanhistory.si.edu/militaryhistory/resources/whoami/whoami.html)
Thanks so much for sharing, Sharon! I'm so glad to hear this. Can you tell us how the students responded to the cotton boll? Do you think you'll do that activity again next year (if so, as a reminder, we get our cotton from cottonman.com)? And how great that your co-teacher was able to use the Who Am I? activity despite feeling uncomfortable with technology resources. It really is a simple but effective interactive!
