Im going to be a guest reader/story teller/MC entertainer for a schol's Celebration for Exceptonal Children's Week and would like additional suggestions of a favorite story that speaks to diversity. Currently I'm planning on using Todd Parr's It's ok to be different, and have some first hand stories to weave into the presentation, but wondered if anyone in this group has a book suggestion that they would recommend? I've considerd a classic, like The ugly duckling, but I really want something with humor. I thought I'd end with a call back chant of There was an old (fairy) lady that swallowed a ? . I'm still working on original lyrics, as I'm dressing up as the The Li'berry Fairy . . .any suggestions for a technology integration, back drop, without me having to create all original slides?
The Li'berry Fairy, just dropping in your group for advisement!
