Often, we don't have to travel too far to experience amazing biodiversity. Backyards, parks, local ponds, all of these provide great opportunities to introduce students to the biodiversity in their own community! Bioblitzing is a great way to get students outside, engaging in science and their own environments!
Have students observe and record all of the animals they might see at recess one day, or in the local park over the weekend. You never know what kind of amazing diversity they may find!
