First off, have your watched the documentary called Happy? I just watched it and think everyone should watch it to understand the science behind feeling happy! In this documentary, there is a comedian names Michael Pritchard who works with a group of middle schoolers motivating them to be kinder to one another and eliminate bullying. I was so moved by his approach in the movie and I started researching him online and found that he has several resources and programs to help students make a positive change for themselves and the school community.
Have any of you had a great motivational speaker work with your students on being kinder? Do you have any services in place to help students who are feeling depressed or angry? What anti-bullying programs have worked in your school?
