Mobile Learning is delivery of information through an easy to carry device such as a tablet or smartphone.
Tablets support similar functionality to a laptop so tablet users can access elearning as well as newer mobile learning.
Smartphones offer greater portability but their small screen and limited functionality require designing delivery specifically for a smartphone. Such learning tends to be shorter in length and to utilize basic interactions.
Mobile learning is a challenge; however, it can deliver information that meets the demands of the "just enough, just in time, and just for me" 21st Century learners.
What is your experience with or opinion of mobile learning?
If you enjoy online learning, I recommend joining our Online Learning group that has an active discussion forum dealing with this type of mobile learning. I am an online instructor, and I enjoy working with teachers from all regions of Virginia. Online learning is growing in popularity and is a great way for teachers to gain re-certification points as well as connect with fellow educators.
