What videos would you advise teachers to use for their own professional learning?

The TeachingChannel web site launched publicly in June 2011.  TeachingChannel is a video showcase of effective strategies and practices in U.S. schools.  The videos are of varied lengths on a wide range of K-12 topics.   The videos include information on the Common Core State Standards and additional materials for teachers to use.

We are featuring math in the Common Core group this month, so Common Core State Standards for Math is a good video to view. The video is 14 minutes in length and points out key features of the math standards.  One of the changes expected is that less will be taught over the course of a year.  Reference is made to a phrase used in Singapore, “Teach Less, Learn More”.

You may also wish to view Common Core State Standards: Middle School and see a practical application of teaching the standards.

What videos would you suggest teachers use for their own professional learning?  There are discussion questions provided for each video.  How could you utilize these in your professional learning community?
