How do you use the poll feature in your group? I'd like to take a poll on the recent change in teacher evaluation in the state of Florida and the use of Marzano. I am unsure how to phrase it in such a way that will lead to constructive comments and a discussion. Suggestions?
Can you state your poll question and potential response selections here? It is sometimes easier for members of this group to edit/make suggested changes with something more specific to start with.
Above and beyond getting your poll the way you want it (and I'm sure this group will be happy to help with that) think about how you might connect different features in your group to get interaction among members going on this topic.
First, a blog with a title that draws members to read it could give general information on this topic, information that you want all Florida group members to know, and then you could link to your poll to gather statistics. Next, starting a discussion and linking to it from your blog after your poll could be helpful. You want a good starter question for your discussion, one that will give your members the freedom to respond from their personal point of view and perhaps use the statistics from your poll. They can view the poll statistics from the poll itself.
I'll look forward to reading the tips offered by members on the use of polls. One thing that I will share here is that any poll is seen by all members of the community. So, don't be surprised if members outside of your state respond to your poll. :-)
