I'm not sure if I did mine correctly. After reading some of the other proposals, I was confused. Mine isn't really a project for the children, but it would be a project to implement it in the classroom.
Any help would be appreciated.
**This is embarrassing: I think I forgot to choose which website to use. This is what happens when I try to bang out work while I'm sick. hah.
I think I'm going to try moonfruit for this project.
I am having similar dilemmas since I am also creating this for use with the young children we teach. I think you have approached it correctly (I wrote something similar) concerning the children using the technology with guidance until they become familiar with the words. Good idea of the home follow-up activities.
Interesting that you mention the language of the families. Even though the multi lingual parents you mention are proficient in English, perhaps an addition to the site can be some cultural or language resources for the children who speak English all day and may or may not communicate in their parents' native language at home. This could be something that you provide or that you encourage parents to send in to the site.
