I'm just beginning to teach students about how to create their own personal learning networks, and am surprised that so few Diploma Programme juniors and seniors, working on their extended essays, know about aggregators, blogging, and using wikis for connecting with others about their subjects of study. I'm excited to get the ball rolling at my school and to be imparting a life-long learning skill for the students that take it on. This coming school year, I plan to rope a handful of teachers into implementing the process into their existing curriculum. Feel free to respond to this entry with your favorite ways of involving students and teachers in creating their own PLNs.
