The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GPSC) will be establishing licensure requirements for educational interpreters to be in effect by October 2012. What an incredible time to be an educational interpreter in Georgia! My first thought upon reading this email was, WOW, I feel professional. Couple that announcement with what I believe is another first in Georgia, an all day conference specifically geared toward educational interpreters. We are making strides by leaps and bounds!
