Attention! Do you teach Hispanic poets in the classroom? Time to celebrate National Poetry Month!
April is National Poetry Month. EDSITEment (http://edsitement.neh.gov/ ) salutes great poets from around the world with special National Poetry Month features, like our Hispanic literary masters spotlight. This spotlight is fully available in both Spanish and English and it highlights six great Hispanic poets of various time periods: The Baroque, or the Spanish Golden Age, and the twentieth century. The special feature gived background information and additional resources on the works of the greatest poets of the Spanish language, like Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra, Luis de Góngora y Argote, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, from the Spanish Golden Age, as well as Nobel laureates of the twentieth century, like Gabriela Mistral, Pablo Neruda and Octavio Paz.
The Spotlight highlights exceptional websites, Nobel lectures, biographical information, samples of the poetry of each poet as well as related resources within EDSITEment and other approves websites.
