Verizon Thinkfinity Content Partners continue to update, refine, and create lessons aligned to Common Core.  As educators, we are always looking for new ways to present information. At times a new resource comes along that can provide additional items for our educator tool box.

A new resource is available for educators, Free K-12 Lesson Plans, materials and resources from BetterLesson, with over 3,000 lesson plans available at this time. BetterLesson and the NEA have partnered to share the best teaching practices with implementation of Common Core Standards. Math and ELA lessons written by Master Teachers are aligned with the standards.  Browse the content by standard, grade, or subject and locate lessons that go along with a particular standard.

Math topics are organized by grade.  High School Algebra, Functions, Geometry, and Statistics & Probability are included.

One of the ELA lessons, Boost Comprehension with Reciprocal Reading, provides a useful tip for a strategy to use in class.  Similar lesson suggestions are offered.
