PureHistory.org is an online social search engine and media network that focuses on American History as well as World History. PureHistory lets you build your Family Tree (free), view documentaries and read about important people from around the world.. This site is for people that enjoy history, but is especially geared towards youth in grades K-12, colleges and universities. People of all ages,who enjoy reading about history, will find this website useful and filled with information that is gathered from a variety of sources.  History is being made daily and PureHistory is an attempt to capture those moments and retell the stories of the past and present in a way that will help bring history 'alive'.

 

Educators will find photos and non-fiction text that can be used in class for close reading.
