"The purpose of the Common Core State Standards is to provide clear, consistent guidelines for what every individual should be able to do in English language arts and math from kindergarten to 12th grade.  I plan to use this website daily to implement these standards into my lesson plans. It is crucial that I utilize this website in creating my lesson plans so that the students are taught what they need to know and are prepared for the next grade level.  This information matters to the world of education because it focuses on developing the critical-thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills that students will need to be successful.  This website's information is to ensure that students are prepared beyond high school years and beyond college."

"Obviously Common Core Standards are in the process of being put into place in schools across the country. So having access to this website is vital for the correct planning of lesson plans. It's also important because as a teacher I need to know what students should have already been taught in prior grades and what I need to prepare them to learn in later grades which I can do by checking the standards listed on this website."

"The purpose of this site is to make sure I am following the 'rules' and making sure I am teaching what my students should know, according to the CCSS. I will use this site weekly if not daily. I want to make sure I am giving my students the proper knowledge of the CCSS.
The CCSS is the guidelines of what each student should know in a given grade. The CCSS allows teachers and educators teach the same things so students will know the same things, or at least be introduced to them. "
